Translation of Certificate of Free Sale for Medical Products
Companies seeking to export medical devices outside of the EU may need to present a Certificate of Free Sale (CFS) to authorities in the destination country. Exporters should check the specific requirements of each country or check with their importer. This certificate affirms that the products are freely sold within all member states of the European Economic Area (EEA). To qualify for a CFS, manufacturers must be able to provide proof of manufacture and a CE marking for each device, and they must be located in the UK. The UK issuing authority for CFS certificates is the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
If your company wishes to supply products within a non-EU country, you may need to produce a CFS in the language of your destination market. At Welcome Translation Experts, we habitually produce translations for medical device manufacturers, so we can assign an experienced translator with the right industry expertise to your products.
